FREE DESIGN was asked to create a small publication for the Baltimore Book Festival. Our contribution, How to Get There: the first annual atlas of the HDMA is a collection of hand drawn maps we found over the years and a few we commissioned specifically for our publication. The magazine stand at the book festival presented a series of books created using cheap materials like inkjet prints and photocopies. Obviously, we couldn’t really refuse this request, it’s right up our alley.We like this idea so much, we created a Flickr pool. So, if you find a hand drawn map someday, please share it with us.
